Description:You will learn how to draw and shade two different size sunflowers.
This tutorial can be done by either drawing all the outlines or you may use the included outlines and shade the insides.
Terms of use: You are welcome to use your finished product how ever you like but please don't copy anything from this site and call it your own.

Step 1
Open a new image 200x200 with a white background.
Zoom in 800% and turn on your grid.
If you're going to do everything from scratch, add a new layer for the center and follow my guide for the center using color 1.

If you use my outline, copy and paste it on a new layer and follow the instructions for shading.

Step 2
Select inside the center and floodfill with color 2.
Keep it selected and add some noise.
Adjust> Add noise>6%
Uniform and monochrome checked.
Use color 3 to add some one pixel dots to the center.

Step 3
Add a new layer and using my guide and color 4, pixel the outline for the flower petals if working from scratch.
If you're using my outline, add a new layer for the shading and use colors 5 and 6 to fill in the petals.
Use 5 along the edges and 6 around center of each petal. Add same noise as you used in step 2.

Step 4
Add a new layer under the flower petals and using my guide and color 7, pixel the stem and leaves.
Your stem can be as long as you like.
Mine is 51 pixels long by 3 pixels wide.
I started my leaf at pixel 20 down on the left side and 28 down on the right side.
Select inside the stem and leaves and floodfill with color 8.
Keep it selected and add the same noise as you added in step 2.
Add the same noise for the small sunflower on the leaves but increase the noise to 10% for the stem.
Select none.

Step 5
Turn off your background layer and merge visible, assuming you're only working on one flower.
